Swiss buyers are asking ChatGPT what to buy.
From 24 August you can put your offer directly beneath the answer they get. There is no self-service — campaigns run through OpenAI's partner agencies. We are one. We build, launch and run yours.

So what are ChatGPT Ads?
When somebody asks ChatGPT for a recommendation, a small sponsored card can appear directly underneath the answer. That card is a ChatGPT Ad. It can be yours.
It is not a banner and it is not a pop-up. It looks like part of the conversation, it is clearly labelled sponsored, and it only shows when the topic matches what you sell. You pay when someone clicks, the same way you already pay on Google.
The difference is where it appears. Not next to ten blue links somebody still has to sift through — underneath a direct answer they asked for and already trust.

Four things happen. You are the fourth.
A buyer in Zurich types a real question into ChatGPT: what should I use, who is good, what does it cost.
It writes a genuine answer. Nothing you pay for changes a single word of it — that stays independent.
Because the conversation matched what you sell, your sponsored card shows under the answer.
They click through to your site already knowing what they want. You pay for that click.
Why this beats a search ad.
Nobody asks ChatGPT which accountant to hire out of idle curiosity. They ask because they are about to choose one. You show up exactly there.
A keyword tells you what someone typed. A conversation tells you what they are trying to do, what they have ruled out, and what they can spend.
Swiss competition for these placements is barely a few days old. That is the entire opportunity, and it has a shelf life.
You pay per click or per thousand impressions, with geo-targeting and normal reporting. The mechanics are the ones your team already knows.
Somebody is going to own these placements.
In 2004 the businesses that showed up early to Google Ads paid pennies for clicks that cost a fortune today. Nobody announced that window was closing. It just quietly did.

Right now almost nobody is bidding in Switzerland. Every advertiser who joins pushes the price up, and it does not come back down.
They do not have to work this out for themselves either. They need exactly what you need: a partner who already has access.
OpenAI expects to open self-service Ads Manager later this year. Until then access is the advantage — after that, everyone has it.
There is no sign-up button.
Every other channel you buy has a console you could open tonight. In Switzerland this one does not — not at launch. There are exactly three doors into ChatGPT Ads here, and only one of them opens for a business your size.

We have been early before.
You have been pitched a "revolutionary new channel" before, and you were right to be sceptical. So here is the honest version: this one is brand new, nobody has a year of results yet, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. What we do have is partner access, ten markets of AI-search work, and campaigns running in four languages.
Select Partner status is what lets us open your account while self-service is still closed.
A small team, in four languages.
Campaigns are built and watched by people, not a dashboard. You get a named contact who speaks your language and answers their own email.

Arun WijayaAI Solutions EngineerThree steps. We do two of them.
You tell us what you sell and who buys it. We tell you straight whether ChatGPT Ads fits — for some businesses it does not, and we would rather say so now than in month three.
Pick a slot →Partner access, campaign structure, Swiss targeting, conversion tracking and ad copy. You approve it, we build it. Typically live within five working days.
Weekly optimisation, monthly reporting in plain language, and an honest call at three months on whether to scale it or stop.
Two versions of next quarter.
- You join an auction that already has your competitors in it
- You pay the prices they helped set
- You start learning the format from zero, months behind
- Your buyers have already met somebody else beneath the answer
- You buy while the Swiss auction is close to empty
- You learn the format while the auction is still thin
- You know which conversations convert and which waste money
- You are the business Swiss buyers keep seeing when they ask
Two versions of next quarter. Only one of them has you in it.

Everything below is confirmed by OpenAI. Including the parts that do not help us sell.
Labelled sponsored, visually separated, shown after the response rather than interrupting it.
Adults on Free and Go see ads. Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu do not — so part of your market is unreachable here.
Location targeting down to country and region, matched against the live conversation. Personalised targeting is off in Switzerland and the EEA — no personal data, no browsing history.
Advertisers cannot alter ChatGPT's responses. Buying the slot does not buy you a recommendation inside the answer.
No images, no video, no retargeting yet. The wording is the whole lever — which is why we write it in your customers’ language, not marketing language.
Conversions tracked by pixel and server-side API; OpenAI reports by campaign, country and device. Attribution is younger than Google’s — we set expectations accordingly.
One package. One price.
ChatGPT Ads is a simpler product than Google Ads — no image or video creative, no retargeting, one straightforward campaign type. So we do not pretend it needs tiers. Everything is included, and you can leave whenever you like.
Built, launched and run for you — month to month.
Everything needed to go live. Five working days.
- Your ChatGPT Ads account opened, in your own name
- Campaign, ad group and ad structure built to OpenAI’s spec
- Swiss targeting configured — country and region level
- Conversion tracking built: pixel, server-side Conversions API, conversion events
- Conversion-optimised bidding set up against your cost per lead
- First set of ad copy, written in your customers’ words
Run, watched and reported. Cancel any time.
- Bidding and budget pacing managed weekly
- Ad copy tested and refreshed — the only real lever on this platform
- Conversion tracking kept working as OpenAI changes things
- Monthly report by campaign, country and device — always included
- Email support from the Swiss team that built it, EN / DE / FR / IT
- The account stays yours if you leave — we do not hold it hostage
No minimum term. No lock-in. Cancel with 30 days’ notice and the account stays yours.
The questions everybody has.
Not at launch. Access runs through OpenAI's Ads Solutions team, partner agencies or technology partners. A self-service Ads Manager is expected later this year — at which point everyone else arrives too.
24 August 2026. OpenAI announced the European rollout on 19 August, covering 31 markets including Switzerland and the EEA. It follows earlier launches in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Brazil, Japan and South Korea.
Adults on the Free and Go plans. Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu users see no ads at all. If your buyers sit mostly in paid enterprise seats, we will tell you this channel reaches fewer of them than you would like.
Personalised advertising is not available in Switzerland or the EEA at launch. Instead of audiences or browsing history, you provide context hints — topics, scenarios, situations — and OpenAI matches them against the live conversation. Closer to contextual buying than to anything on Meta.
No. OpenAI states advertisers cannot alter ChatGPT's responses and that ads do not determine the model's organic answers. Buying the placement beneath an answer does not buy you a mention inside it.
Then you stop after three months, having spent a deliberately small pilot budget to find out — instead of a year of guessing. We would rather tell you the channel is wrong for you than keep billing you for it.
CHF 290 a month, plus a one-off CHF 390 to set everything up. That is the whole fee — there is no tier above it, and reporting is never an extra. Your ad spend is separate, from CHF 1,500 a month, paid on your own card directly to OpenAI: we take no percentage of it. Month to month, 30 days’ notice.
Your website, access to your analytics, and a monthly ad budget. There is no creative to produce and no brand assets to gather — the ads are text. From go-ahead to live is typically five working days.
The auction is nearly empty today.
Right now you are bidding against almost nobody. That ends the day OpenAI opens self‑service — and every competitor on your street can buy the same slot.
Tell us what you sell
We come back within one working day with a straight answer — including whether we think this channel is wrong for you. A person in Switzerland reads these.
Not ready today?
We will send the 90‑second version — what ChatGPT Ads are, what they cost, and whether they suit a business like yours. Three emails over five days, then we stop.
